The course will focus on the skills and underpinning knowledge to get the most out of a range of Artificial High Directionals and will explore the relevant manufacturers guidance.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for anyone who is or will be using an AHD. Due to the hands on nature with a range of market leading AHD systems, the course is also useful for anyone looking to trial and purchase an AHD.
Prerequisites
Course participants must be a minimum of 18 years old and medically fit and healthy. Learners should be qualified in their respective areas of operation.
Learners must also provide their own basic PPE, including gloves as well as suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Other PPE will be provided, learners may use their own harness and helmet but may be asked for proof of purchase and/or recent thorough examination.
Learners may also be required to provide proof of identity at the start of their training.
Content
This course is a blend of underpinning theory, supporting standards and creative uses of AHD’s. During the course learners will get hands on with the following AHD systems:
• Rock Exotica Arizona Vortex
• SMC TerrAdaptor
• SMC Vector
• CMC Triskelion
Certification
learners will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
This course is delivered in accordance with BS8454:2006 “Code of practice for the delivery of training and education for work at height and rescue”.
